Tambillo station
The Tambillo station is a small stop on the Train of the Volcanoes, located in the parish of Tambillo, south of Quito (Pichincha), at 2,860 m above sea level. It lies at the entrance to the Machachi valley, on the Avenue of the Volcanoes, and served as an intermediate point between Chimbacalle and Machachi.
The setting is distinctly rural and agricultural, with haciendas, crops and clear views towards the Pasochoa, Rumiñahui volcanoes and, on clear days, the imposing Cotopaxi. It is a peaceful pause to take in the Andean landscape before continuing on to Machachi and El Boliche.
