Milagro station

The Milagro station is in the Milagro canton, a thriving agro-industrial city in Guayas, at just 13 m above sea level. It is a stop on the Tren Crucero and the Train of Sweetness, now well into the tropical coastal plain. Milagro is known as the “City of Pineapples” for its fruit production.

The local economy revolves around sugar cane —with the historic Valdez sugar mill— and a prosperous industry of nurseries and flowers. The Train of Sweetness route owes its very name to this land of sugar and fruit. It is a warm, vibrant and highly productive stop on the coast.
